Process
With each new site, FosterEd engages in the following process:
1 New site suitability assessment: Determination of whether state and local agencies are committed to improving the educational outcomes of foster children and willing to collaborate.
2 Planning process: Collaborative creation of goals, strategies, objectives, project design and workplan.
3 Identification of resources: Identification of private and public funds, in-kind resources, community collaborators and volunteer groups.
4 Gathering of baseline data: Collection of data on how foster children are currently performing in school.
5 Pre-implementation: Development of resource modules and databases, training of professional stakeholders and volunteers.
6 Implementation: Implementation of continuous cycle of data-driven interventions, collection and analysis of data, ongoing evaluation.
