FosterEd: Marion County
Our Work
There are approximately 9,000 foster children in Indiana. Approximately 1,700 live in Marion County. Taken from their families because they have experienced abuse or neglect, their educational outcomes are heartbreakingly poor.
As a pilot for the state of Indiana, FosterEd is working to improve the educational outcomes of Marion County foster children. In partnership with state and local agencies we are implementing a continuous cycle of data-driven interventions to ensure every Marion County foster child has at least one educational champion with the characteristics proven to support educational success.
